Dear friends and ministry partners,
As November concludes, we pause to thank God for you. Your support allows us to serve immigrant families, local churches, and new disciples across Curitiba with both compassion and purpose. This month we are especially grateful for:
  • Faithful monthly supporters who sustain the ministry.
  • New donors who joined us—your trust strengthens the mission.
  • A wonderful answer to prayer: beginning in December, health insurance will finally be available for both of us.
  • Our daughter Sarah, who spent time here serving the children with love and joy. Her visit was a blessing to many.
Thank you for standing with us as we serve the nations God is bringing to Brazil.
With gratitude,
Jamil & Elzeli Ribeiro
November Highlights
Spanish Ministry at Igreja Batista do Bacacheri
We ministered during the year-end gathering for the Bacacheri church staff, encouraging them in Spanish and strengthening those who serve week after week.
Feeding Families in Need
Food support and spiritual follow-up continued this month—especially with Sebastian & Yadira, precious immigrant believers learning to trust God in a new country.
Planning Immigrant Care Strategies
We met with Pastor Leandro from Bacacheri's social action team to share ideas and develop better systems for receiving and supporting immigrant families.
Domestic Abuse Prevention Training
Bacacheri hosted an important training session to equip leaders to identify and respond to domestic abuse—strengthening families inside and outside the church.
Visit to a Gypsy Camp
We visited a Gypsy encampment led by Marcelo, a committed believer serving his community. This continues to be a unique and growing mission field.
Haitian & Spanish Services in Campo Magro
We partnered with:
  • Pastor Jefferson (Brazilian pastor)
  • Pastor Pierre (Haitian leader)
  • Pedro & family (Cuban believers)
We preached first in the Haitian service (translated into Creole) and then in the Spanish service.
Venezuelan Family Visit
We prayed with a Venezuelan family longing for restored communication with their daughter in the United States.
A Mission Field at the Local Car Wash
Many Cubans work temporarily at a nearby car wash while searching for stable employment. This rotating workforce has become a surprising mission field.
We thank God for Deise, the Brazilian manager with a missionary heart.
New Auditorium in Downtown Curitiba
The city granted us a weekly auditorium in the downtown district—an area full of workers and immigrants searching for hope and community. We are praying for wisdom to make this opportunity impactful.
